More Feb. goodies!

Ok....so I told myself I wouldn't buy anything else this month. lol I've kind of went spending crazy lately...but Sally's was having a pretty good sale going on so I just couldn't help myself. And I was in desperate need of retail therapy! So...the first thing I got:

It's called Venetian Blends Hair Therapy. And it's pretty much just a deep conditioner. You put it on clean towel dried hair and let it sit for about 5 minutes then rinse it out. I usually just put it on my ends because that's the driest part of my hair. If I put it on my roots it looks oily and dirty afterward. It smells great and I really like it so far.

Ok I have been on the hunt for a good straightener for a while now. I've gotten 2 different ones this past month and have returned both of them. Both were from Walmart. One was a Remington shine one and the other was a the Conair Silver Nano. Both were HORRIBLE and cheaply made. So onto Sally's I went. I really didn't want to spend over $50 for one but the more I kept thinking about it I realized that this is my hair and I want to keep it healthy and awesome...so therefore I didn't mind spending the $59.99 for the GVP. It stands for Great Value Products and is compared to the CHI. I have used a CHI and honestly the GVP feels just like it. Has the same heat settings and all. But mine is way cuter. It's hot pink with "diamonds" lol. I really like it and it just might be the best $60 I have spent.

Last but not least I got a travel size bottle of Volumizing spray. I didn't want to get the big bottle just in case I didn't like it... and thankfully I didn't. It's by So Gorgeous supposed to be compared to Big Sexy Hair. But it's not at all. You can spray it on your hair wet before you style for "maximum volume" or you can use it as a finishing spray. But...so far neither have done anything for my hair. But it may for someone else.

And then I also got some Ion Flat Iron Cream. It's a heat protectant with healing Jojoba in it. You only need to use a TINY bit or else it will make it greesy looking. I again just apply it to my ends. And you put it on while it's towel dried before using your blow dryer or straightener. It has these heat activated beads that you can literally see and feel while applying it to your hair. And they (the beads) "start working" when heat is applied. So far I like it. It leaves my hair looking more put together if that makes sense. It's also part of their anti-frizz line and I like it a lot so far. And it's reasonably priced compared to other heat protectants that I have used and see to even work better. Def a great buy.

Ok so that's it...hope I have helped with some decision making! lol

Hauls-February

Ok here are my hauls for February. I just started blogging at the beginning of the month and I'm hoping to get more followers soon! But here are my purchases from this month. I figured I would give a little review on them.
Above is the ELF stuff I got. I got the pink makeup applicators. I actually like them. They don't fall apart like the others one I have from Walmart.
dramatic eyelashes- I don't like them at all. They itch my eyes and the glue sucks.
Eyeshadow brush- pretty good for the money. It applies better if you wet it.
Duo Mascara- I hate it. It does absolutley nothing for my lashes
Black liquid liner- Goes on really smooth actually but it smudges very easily.
Silver liquid liner- Looks great when going out but def not for everyday wear.
Black eye liner pencil- Works alright. But I prefer gel much better.
Eye Primer- It's AMAZING! I really like it. It helps prevent creasing in my shadow and it holds on the color for a lot longer.
Quad Eyeshadow- The colors and pigments are actually really good. I use them often.
Eyelash Curler- Works great. I really like it. One of the better ones I've ever had!

Overall Elf is pretty good if you want a lot of makeup for little money. But if you want quality I wouldn't use it.

I finally broke down and got the 88 matte Coastal Scents pallete. I love it! It has a wide range of colors and the pigment is amazing. It has everything from bright colors to neutrals. I really like it!

Ok....sorry blurry pic. But I used my cell. But it's the L'oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara. It's the one with the funny copy of the Givency applicator. I hate it. It did nothing for my lashes and it clumped up really bad. It didn't evenly apply the mascara to my lashes. I was horribly depressed when I used it. And I've given it quite a few times to change my mind. But it has failed!
I got me some Sonia Kashuk brushes and they are great. I use them everyday and they come in this cute little carrying case that makes it easy for travel! Really great investment. And I got them from Target!

Ok....on to my favorite purchases!
Revlon Colorstay foundation- I love it. It really does stay on all day and covers great. Goes on very evenly.
Maybelline Dream Mousse Bronzer (not pictured)- I love it. It comes in the same container as the blush pictures above. And I really really like it. Goes on smoothly and evenly and it wasn't too orangy for my skin. It's very natural looking. The color I got was Sunglow.
Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush- I really like it. Again goes on great. I got the color Rose Petal. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is get a different color. It doesn't show up that great on my skin.
L'oreal Carbon Black Voluminous mascara- My favorite mascara ever now. It makes them so big and long. Doesn't clump and it comes off easily!
So that is it so far. If I buy anything else between now and the end of the month I'll make another post!

New Stuff!

Ok so recently I have become an Etsy addict. lol And I'm absolutely in love with one of the sellers on there. Her store is called CherryCity. I posted about it a few weeks ago when I made my first purchase of hers. Well since then I've gotten a few other things! And I must say I will be a customer forever! Her products are all handmade by her! And she creates all her different fragrances and everything. She's really awesome to work with and has super fast shipping. She even mixed to scents just for me! How awesome is that....they don't do that at Bath & Body Works! LOL! Anyways....so I'm going to do a little review on these items!

Below is the Shea Body Gloss. It comes in a very easy spray bottle. It's not so much as a mist that comes out more of a fast stream so you still have to rub it all over your body to get it in really good. I've noticed the more you apply the grittier your skin will feel which isn't a nice feeling. The less you apply the better it feels and works. It makes my skin feel so silky smooth. And it smells amazing. I got the White Tea & Rose scent (the one she made for me!). I love it!

This she actually sent me for free. And it's the cuticle pen! It's great. I love it and it's defiantly easy to use!

This is one of my favorite things so far. I got it last night. It's the Body Wash. It smells amazing. Again you get to pick your scent and I got the White Tea & Rose to match my Body Gloss I got! It smells great and lathers well. I actually used it to shave my legs this morning and they are silky smooth! I love it. It's obviously not just for shaving but a good soap as well. I really like it.
And last but not least my absolute favorite! The After 5 Roll On fragrances! I got two of them. One in Masquerade Ball and Heaven! Heaven is my favorite but Masquerade Ball I love just as equally. They are an oil base so they tend to stay on longer than just your typical spray perfume. They come in convenient roll on applicators so you can just toss them in your purse and have the lasting smell all day long! They really are great and I've gotten quite a few compliments since I've been wearing them!
So if you want to check them out here is the link!

Update on my goodies & Vday!

Ok...so the last post I made was about all the cool stuff I ordered from Etsy. Well....I'm back to just say CherryCity has made a lifetime customer! OMG! She sent me free samples of her roll on perfumes and holy moly they smell amazing. I got my Shea Body Gloss on Friday afternoon and by Friday night I had put another order in with her for 2 of the sample perfumes and her body wash. I can not freaking wait to get them! They were shipped today. I'm so excited! And I found out that she made the smell of the Body Gloss she sent me just for me. I told her what kind of scents I liked and she mixed two of them together. And it smells amazing. I can literally smell on it on my skin right now and I put it on this morning when I got out of the shower. So...let's see....so 9 hours ago...and I still smell it. It makes my skin feel so smooth and silky. It's oil based so at first I was skeptical. But it doesn't leave a sticky feeling afterwards like baby oil does. It just soaks right up in my skin. But yea...so I love them! The owner is so awesome. And so easy to work with. So I recommend them! You can go to www.Etsy.com and look up CherryCity and find their products there!

Ok so Valentine's Day this year has been one of the best. I think it's because I am so in love with my boyfriend it's unreal. He didn't even get me much. I think what he wrote in the card was what got me. The card was very pretty. On the front all it said was "Always" and on the inside it said "I will always love you, until the day that I die". And then he wrote a little something. This is what it said "Danyell these past 6 months have been the best 6 months of my life. This is the first Valentine's day I have ever done anything. You make me want to be a better person. And I love you for that. I love you sooooooooooooo much and you mean the world to me. I love you boo boo". Ugh....man it was so sweet! It made me cry. But with the card he got me candy, a stuffed dog that says I love you on it and then a vase with colored glass marbles to hold my makeup brushes. Then he took me and Koen out to eat lunch on Sunday. It was really nice. We don't get to spend a lot of time together with our busy lives but the time that we do spend together is always a blessing. And we have such a blast together. Ugh...man I love my boyfriend.

Ok that is all for the day! lol

Handmade??

So as of yesterday I discovered the wonderful site of Etsy.com. Ohhhh Emmmm Geeee....it's amazing. There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many amazing things on this site. They have homemade and handmade items. So....my thought process on this is I would rather give my money to someone who made it with their own hands. It just makes it easier to buy things in my opinion. lol

So yesterday I purchased two items that I'm so incredible excited about! The first one is from CherryCity. It's a Shae Butter Gloss. It was only $8.99! So...what it does is you put it on after you get out of the shower and it's an oil that is quickly absorbed into your skin with not icky residue or film. And it leaves your skin soft and full of fragrance. And there were a ton of different smells you could choose from.

And yesterday I also got some fabulous earrings. That are handmade! They are Black Rose Stud Earrings. I've been looking for some FOREVER! The only color I could ever find them in was blue and red. I've always wanted black! Oh and they were $7.00 what a steal!

And then today I bout some Apasionado Lip Potion. It was $3.99 with free shipping! So what it is, is a natural formula infused with dried lavender which are supposed to promote passion, romance, harmony, friendship and Cooperation with a lover! HAHAHA Even if it doesn't work....hopefully it makes my lips nice and moisturized.

So....I haven't gotten any of them yet. But when I do I will def give an update! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

Introduction & My Birthday

So....this is my first blog (well on this account. lol I lost my info to the other one). One of my New Year's resolutions was to write more. Whether it's for emotional purposes or recreational. For me....writing is a way of releasing emotions. Some are good, some are bad and some are to simply help me let go of things. I write a lot on scrap pieces of paper but this is 2010....times have changed. lol

So I guess I will tell y'all a little about myself. I'm a mother to the most amazing little boy named Koen. He's so full of life. He constantly makes me laugh. He's such a blessing and I constantly thank the big guy above for giving me the honor of raising him.

I have an AMAZING boyfriend. Whom I'm so thankful for. He came into my life at exactly the right time, when I needed someone the most. He is the best friend I could ever ask for. We have the best time together and I can't wait to see what the future will bring us.

As far as my family & friends. They are the best. I couldn't ask for anything better!

Ok....another thing. Today is my birthday (Whoop Whoop....big 2-4! lol) and Koen said the cutest thing to me last night! I got home from work and he told me he got me a cake for tomorrow (today) and that it was in the fridge. He even said it was a cake with a flower on it. So I'm all excited and I go walking to the fridge and there isn't anything in there. So I asked Koen where it was and he starts giggling and says "Mommy it's a pretend cake!". HAHAHAHA it was the cutest thing ever. So I just wanted to share!

This year has probably been one of the most satisfying birthdays ever. I feel like my heart is just overflowing with kind words and wishes from my friends and family. I couldn't have even dreamt of a more perfect day. Waking up next to my little lovebug (Koen) and him saying "Happy Birfday Moooooommmmmyyyyy" first thing when I wake up. And then my awesome boyfriend Brandon waking up early and calling me to wish me a Happy Birthday before I go into work (when he should have been sleeping since he worked a 15 hour shift yesterday). Then when I got to work today I had an email from my mom telling me to meet her, dad and Koen at Red Lobster after work for dinner. Ohhh and I almost forgot....I even had a present sitting in my chair at work from my friend Angela. It was a basket of smelly good things....my fave!

The little things have just made it such a special day. And I'm so very thankful for everyone I have in my life!
